  • Don't go near the whites. CSM is the weak red.

    • The reds are all about 13.5%

      • Quality-wise not alcoholic strength lol.

        • The Shiraz and 'Siding' are much better than the rest, as tightwad suggested.
I'd just add that the riesling, CSM can be cellared also, and they taste alright at around 10 - 15 years; that said they are still not as good as the Shiraz at the same age.

Winemarket was selling the 2012 Shiraz last year for <$9 a bottle in dozen lots.

        • @Ruotian:

Yes. The cheapest price is in the $9-10 range.

  • How is this a bargain?
$13.95 p/bottle at Dan Murphy's with free click + collect.
End price can come down to $12.97 when buying via Cashrewards and subsequently receiveing cash back.

    • According to the web site, not for the Shiraz or the Cab Sav, which are both $17/bottle at DM, -5% with gift card makes them still above $16.

The price looks good. I am fond of Wynns. Their reds, as are most Coonawarra reds, excellent.

    • DM is $13.95 for CSM in any six…otherwise $15.50 less CR… plus shipping (free if order is over $300).

    • I bought a shiraz for 13bucks in store a few days ago

    • Agreed. Prices can vary by state but usually around $13 in the main ones. Tasmania even has cheaper with a bonus wolf Blass magnum right now. Been posted on here.

    • I rememeber i once bought a bottle for 30bucks in a country town!!

Shiraz and CabSav are both $13.95 in Sydney.

DM Haymarket/NSW Shiraz is $17.09 in six.. or $17.99ea.

      • I can't see any DM stores in Haymarket (checked website). So, I don't know where you got this price from.
However, I checked 10 different stores in Sydney and all show the same price - $13.95 for both - CabSav and Shiraz.
Also, with the new cashrewards offer of 12% cashback, the price can be reduced to $12.27 p/bottle.

  • Kemmenys is selling the Wynns Siding 2012 Cabernet for $10 as their
Hidden Label Coonawarra Cabernet Sauvignon 2012 (KHL 1801)
    .

Ourcellar is the selling the 2014 - I don't know what its like but the 2012 is drinking very nicely with its 2 more years bottle age.

Wynns Shiraz is a long-time favourite but I wouldn't be stocking up at $14/bottle anyway - last year there were bargains round $10/bottle.
