Cheap Camera for my 9yr old Daughter going to Camp

Please help as it's a last minute thing.
I need to get it today so bricks and mortar store is must.
Also it must take a micro SD card from her tablet.
I'll be shooting down to the local shopping centre soon to have a look myself but just hoping someone would point me in the right direction.
Also it can't be a phone.
Thanks in advance 👍 😀

You didn't mention budget? Here's one from BigW: http://www.lasoo.com.au/offer/compact-digital-cameras/canon-…

    Hi,
The above Canon Camera takes Memory Card Type SD, SDHC, SDXC, so if using a Micro SD Card, you may need an adapter sleeve.

Just give her an old mobile phone with camera and without a sim card, problem solved :)

Check stock availability before driving all over Brisbane on their Website. :+)

So you decided yet OP!?? =P

And don't make a decision on an empty stomach!

    Idk why i said that…

  • Sorry for not adding my budget but I wasn't expecting a cheapie to be so expensive! Doesn't anyone sell like a $20 one or something lol Surely in this day and age with everything made so cheap these things you can get cheaply made throwaway type that can take a half decent pic that might last a couple of months. For me those ones suggested would be great but for my 9yr old who drops and breaks most electronic devices I get her would be a waste of money especially that she'll be taking it on camp with her and teachers have advised nothing valuable to be taken as so many others have been damaged in the past. Thanks for your suggestions but sorry lots for not suggesting this sooner… my bad :/

I don't think you will find a digital camera brand new for $20.00.
Maybe check out second hand on Gumtree.

      • Yeah I'm thinking you might be right there 28! I guess Ive just been out of the camera market too long. I just assumed you could get cheapies these days.

Now that the budget is revealed, you're in safe hands! Here are some options:

For a 9-year old yeah come to think of it they break fings, so just pick one perhaps look into battery life first, then resolution second. Would be hard-pressed to find one with SD card option also given how it is a last minute addition.

Hope it helps. The Good Guys' would be good if there's stock near you.

Thanks for that sky I ended up getting the cheaper Kodak disposable for $19 from BigW. Takes 27 pics and will do her for the 3 day camp.

MSY have some really cheap ones ($5).

Obviously, don't expect much, but should be fine for basic shots. Not sure about MicroSD card support, but they apparently store "up to 200 photos".
