I'm switching phones - so looking for a good phone and data prepaid provider - the main thing is affordability and data allowance.
I'm currently using Aldimobile (Telstra) paying $20 a month, but don't mind paying more for more data.
Not all bands work in Australia - but I don't mind settling for 3G
The version I'm getting is compatible with the following bands:
850/900/1800/1900 MHz

Vodafone would be fine.
Band 28 is largely used through australia, it is the reclaimed analog tv band.

Anyway you will still get 4G and should not notice anything.
I am on Optus $40 12month with unlimited sms and calls with 10gb data.
I will be buying the Oneplus 3 at hopefully less than $600.
