I want to buy a GoPro Hero4 Silver to my brother-in-law as a gift.
I have a layover in Bangkok but I don't think it will be cheaper there than the recent deals I've seen going on around here.
I can also look in Italy where I will be staying, and claim the VAT back.
Does anyone know where I can find a deal or pricebeat that would make it worthwhile for me to buy here, or should I just get it there?

Gumtree. It is where I sold my Go Pro Hero 4 Silver. Won it from a competition at the races. Sold it for around about $500 aud i think earlier this year.
He's looking for a deal. I find them to be very overpriced with non-serious sellers on Gumtree, and then on eBay the good deals get bought very quickly.
oh right sorry. I play the gumtree game for the once in a blue moon deals I have been successful but you have to confident determined and vigilant. Your alternative is refreshing the ozbargain page for the go pro hero 4 silvers and wish on a star. Yeah ebay sucks imo its way too cuthroat even more so i feel or find than gumtree.
Oh the $500 included about $150 worth of accessories. Sorry I forgot to mention that so the buyer got it for around $350-400 in real money value for the go pro alone. Threw in also a lexar class 10 i believe 32 or 64gb sd card for free. Was wanting to pay it forward i guess that day. Hope you also get lucky OP.
Unless you're going to USA (and maybe Canada/UK)… I don't see the point of buying it overseas.
When I went to Japan a couple years ago with the idea to buy a camera there… it turned out their electronic prices were higher than ours.
If you can get one on a decent/discount, get it here.
