Season 23 Episode 1: Chris Evans takes the Dodge Viper ACR to the home of Top Gun in Nevada, to battle Sabine Schmitz in a Chevrolet Corvette Z06. Matt LeBlanc tackles wildest Morocco in Somerset's finest off-roader, the Ariel Nomad. Back on British soil, Evans and LeBlanc take a rather soggy road trip to Blackpool in a pair of roofless Reliant three-wheelers, whereupon they are tasked with defending the honor of their nations in a series of grueling UK-versus-USA challenges. Back in the studio, this week's celebrity guests are Social Network star Jesse Eisenberg and Gordon Ramsey.

    The New show is even more scripted than the last one was. I remember the early years when this show was still good. I've no idea why they brought in Chris Evans (used to love this guy on TBB and TFIFriday) and Le Blanc, surely there are car enthusiasts out there who can read a script?

    Even if they paid me i would not download this. The new show is simply awful. There is an old saying that everyone is replaceable. Well in the case of Jeremy and Co this saying does not apply.

    I love the original Top Gear. I don't think the new show isn't as bad as people say, especially if you love car shows.

    Still looking forward to the new series from the original crew on Amazon Prime.

      Basically it was fifth gear trying to play at being top gear. None of the presenters really worked (it's not just Evans) and the changes they did make to the format just made it worse.

    I gave this episode a go a couple of nights ago.

    I didn't make it through, it's a shadow of its former self. And it's former self was already a shadow of what it once was.

    Why all the hate? It was never going to be as good as Clarkson, Hammond and Captain Slow. They had huge shoes to fill and it was never going to be the same. I don't think it's that bad considering.

    USA top gear rocks it is a well made show. Or watch 5th gear Tiff Needell is good.
