Who here uses Pokevision or another tracker for Pokemon Go?

So with tracking being horribly broken, who here is using something like pokevision?

Do you think it's cheating? Or would be cheating if the tracker wasn't broken?

Anyone use pokevision on a tablet? If so… tell me what model tablet you use and whether pokevision runs well….

  • How to find a nest?

  • I use pokevision, mostly just to know if it's worth going out of my way when walking. I would probably still use it if the tracking worked, but I guess if they made it precise (ie grass rustles in right place AND footsteps match 50, 100, 300m or whatever) then I might stop just so I don't have to switch apps.

I don't think it's cheating, you still have to walk there and play the catching mini game. Now the tools that spoof your gps location? That's cheating.

    • But it would be awesome to cheat and become something like a Lv 25+ trainer, and be the gym leader.
Especially with a 2,000+ CP Pokemon such as:
Dragonite, Clefable, Snorlax, Lapras, Blastoise, Gyrados, Slowbro, Poliwrath, Omastar, Nidoqueen, Arcanine, Magmar, Wigglytuff, Vileplume, Exeguttor, Vaporeon, Starmie, Tentacruel, Hitmonchan.

Then you could sort of sit back, and watch as people tried and failed to knock you off your gym.
Would be great in a gym that's in a landmark, such as downtown Tokyo, NYC, or the Hollywood Walk.
Or maybe just one in your workplace where none of your colleagues can get it, despite them trying and trying and trying.

      • Lol… you can knock off 2000+ CP pokemon from gyms easily, with lower CP pokemon. Gym battles are very attacker-advantage. As long as people are willing to spend the time to try, there's pretty much no such as a gym that can't be taken (with current mechanics). Maybe in quieter rural areas gym flips less, but in the cities they basically flip constantly. Even high level gyms.

        • I guess you're right.
But it could still be entertaining if you control a gym near/at your work, and none of your co-workers can defeat you.
But I'm guessing you'd need someone from your same team to drop off some high CP pokemon, so it makes it harder.

Or, Nintendo/Niantic could expand the games to do PvP battles, and a trading system??

      • I guess? If that's fun for you then fine, but if I cheated then… it wouldn't be fun for me. ¯_(ツ)_/¯

        • Well the whole game is about grinding and simple.
It's usually not a fun concept, and the fad would run out quick.

The only saving grace is its social applications.
And its not that social to be honest, as you can't trade items, pokemon or battle each other.
But different strokes for different folks.
