Fitbit Blaze: Where to Buy ?

I'm in the market for a Fitbit Blaze, where would be the cheapest way to get one without losing the Oz Warranty? I'm not sure about their warranty against grey import.
Any suggestions appreciated :D

  • Directly from Fitbit (not a bargain) or from Harvey Norman, JB Hi-Fi, Officeworks - but none of them offers particularly good deals at the moment.

If you buy something overseas warranty policies of different companies are drastically different. Here is pretty good overview from Choice: https://www.choice.com.au/electronics-and-technology/interne…
Fair Trading warns that in such case: "Australian Consumer Law may not apply and may only offer you limited protection", so it is more case by case: http://www.fairtrading.nsw.gov.au/ftw/Consumers/Ways_to_shop…

Fitbit Aus warranty: https://www.fitbit.com/au/returns is unclear, the opening paragraphs says: "apply to all Products purchased within Australia through the online store (‘the store’)" thus strictly speaking it says nothing about warranty if you buy from, say, JB Hi-Fi, or from overseas.

I know from anecdotal evidence that Fitbit Aus is very accommodating and helpful if there are any issues with locally purchased items. If you want to play it safe, wait for some bargain from a large Aus distributor. I may be wrong, but at the moment there is nothing spectacular around - sorry, I realise all that does not really answer your question!

  • Do you have any flybuys points? I recently got an offer of 20% off Fitbit blaze points, ended up paying 22,000 points plus $155 (total around $260) and was told that it will be under warranty

  • I would wait for one of the eBay deals to come around. I picked mine up from BingLee @ 20% off + the 1.25% or whatever it currently is cashback from that cashback place.

Otherwise yeah, you're going to be paying full price and they're not cheap.

  • 😓

Bummer. Maybe I'll give Fitbit Australia a quick call to get some sort of confirmation. If they can accomodate I'd probably get it from eglobal with cashrewards, else I'd wait for the eBay deal then

    Thanks all!

  • Ebay:
    http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/191940901112
