AGL Will Charge Fees for Paper Bills $1.75 and In-Person Payments $2 from 1 October 2016

Those who missed this deal thinking they don't want to change to email bills will get slugged from 1 October 2016.
AGL Customers Switch to eBilling to Get $5 off Your Bill

From 1 October 2016, fees will now apply to paper bills and over the counter payments.

We’re introducing a fee for the issuing of paper bills. The paper bill fee may apply to each bill sent to you by post.

Fees (NSW, QLD and SA).
Paper bill fee - for each bill sent by post $1.75* (incl. GST)
Over the counter payment fee – for payments in-person with Post Billpay® at a Post Office $2.00* (incl. GST)

*Excludes NSW gas standard retail contract customers and QLD electricity standard retail contract customers.
You may be eligible for an exemption.

Rest assured, the new fees won’t apply to you if you are registered for a concession with us or if you’re part of our Staying Connected hardship program. If you are eligible for a concession and haven’t registered it with us, please call us on the number below.

Pay your bill anytime, anywhere with BPAY. It’s set up directly through your bank account, and allows you to pay either online or over the phone. Simply use our BPAY Biller Code and your AGL Reference Number to pay your bill via your online or phone banking.

  • Whatever your email client, set up an automatic rule to move (or Label) bills under something relevant, like Bills. Then have a sub-label/sub-folder for each different provider.

    It's easy to see all your bills, and is a much better archiving solution because you can access this information wherever you have email access, instead of where you've kept the paper bill.

    You can also setup direct debit so you don't have to worry about missing the payment date.

    a $ 1.91 over the counter pay fee

    and a credit card merchant fee of $0.36% by VISA & MASTERCARD

    AND 1.5 % AMEX

    ( it's high time to keep looking somewhere else )
