Adguard: Performance, Experience & Review?

I've come across a lifetime license for Adguard which claims to block ads for PC/Mac and Mobile devices iOS/Android. It seems to be doing it's job so far.

Does anyone else have any experience with these guys?
If there's engough people, I can post up the link for the licenses. Works out to about $10. Which is still cheaper than their 1 Year subscription.

    ublock origin

  • I've been using Adblock and ublock origin for years on my Android and Windows devices. Even Linux. Don't see the value in paying for adblocking software.

Android: Adaway (requires root) for device wide ad blocking that requires no additional resources by using HOSTS

Google Fdroid, download and install Fdroid app store, update repositories, search for adaway.

One does not simply pay for adblocking my good sir. Guess where the people you want to pay get their blocks lists for free?

  • I don't feel so bad paying in Rubles instead of AUD. I wasn't going to pay $120 for it.

  • Netguard on Android. Pay in-app to get rid of its own ads, then load the version on github to add hosts blocking. No need for root.

  • THanks for all the advice

  • is it better than adblockplus for mozilla ? which is free !

  • Adguard is pretty good and the biggest advantage is that it will block ads and malware within any App - not just the Browser (Chrome or FF). Performance is excellent with no noticeable slow-down. In fact, it has made some things quicker since the internal ad-engines doesnt work without connection back to their advertising mothership.
