PC Byte ctech deal very slow service

Pruchased a pre built system from PC Byte on the 22th of July(ebay sale) and have not had any word from them since. Sure I gave them a few days to put it together given the busy sale but now it has been almost two weeks. A few days ago I sent them a message and they assured me it would be sent out within a day or two but they have not updated the ebay status to "posted".

Is this the scam where they take your money, and have no stock beforehand. Or they wait for the orders to flow in then bulk buy from overseas and pocket the eBay voucher margain and profit.

I want to be considering graphics cards but since I don't know when my PC is arriving I dont fel confident spending money on a possibly non existant system.

    Yep, that's the scam.

    They did same thing on last 20% off promotion as well. eBay is clearly making too much money off them to give a shit or they've gamed the system.

    I ordered a pre-built system from the 20% sales as well. They took about 2 weeks including weekends to get the system built and ready, although the listing said it'll be shipped within 2 days. I find 2 days a tad quick, considering you'd have to build and test the system. However, when I made a query about it after the purchase, I was told it would be roughly 10 working days. I wasn't happy about it, but at least they were upfront.

    However, I can't fault them communication wise. They replied promptly (usually within 2-3 hours) and were polite and understanding throughout my constant pestering. And I literally emailed them every single day to check on the progress.

    Wanted to give my experience regarding the eBay "posted" status:

    I ordered an SD card from the PC Byte ebay store on Sunday (with expected delivery date 3 days later on the Wednesday). The eBay status wasn't updated on my order either but the item still arrived.

      Ah fair enough, I've just got used to most eBay sellers being pretty accurate with "posted" tag on the listing. They did mention that they posted it in the message so that gives me hope. I'm happy with the price and don't mind waiting a little for this reason.
