Sydney Dental Implant Recommendations?

Dear Community

My wife is in need of a dental implant and she came across this deal priced at 2999 on Groupon (https://www.groupon.com.au/deals/serenity-smiles-dental-2)

I stopped her before She was pulling the trigger because of the cost (a very innocent soul). I reason for a surgery of this significance to your overall health it definitely needs some asking around and researching. One of those things if you Have to pay, you have to pay.

I would like to ask your opinion re this clinic and Dr Nikfar… if not then where to get a good job done in Sydney and what kind of material you should go for.

Really Cannot thank more !

  • No experience with the practice you mentioned, but I can very highly recommend Dr John Wells, Simply Beautiful Smiles (Penrith): www.simplybeautifulsmiles.com.au
Myself and my wife have been using this practice for many years. Dr Wells cooperates with master ceramist Grant Davis, who is professional of the highest calibre and inventor of Davis Bridge, see it here: www.simplybeautifulsmiles.com.au/dental-implants/all-on-4.ph…

I am sorry if all that sounds like a paid advertisement, but let me assure that I am in no way associated with them - just extremely happy customer (and older fellow, who over the years was frustrated with other dentists). Do not take my word for it, make an appointment for one consultation and check it yourself. You (or your wife) will definitely not be sorry you did!

    • Thanks Derek for coming out to advise even at the risk of being suspected of an ad. Truly appreciate this.

Before having the procedure booked, I would get your Missus to go to any reputable dental surgeon to see if she is suitable for a transplant…..some are not!

For instance - if the floor of the sinus is too close to theatre of the transplant, it will require EXTENSIVE surgical adjustment, to allow the op to take place safely.

Explain to your wife that a transplant is major dental surgery, with the possibility of things going wrong!. Personally, I wouldn't be using a cut-price dentist on Groupon to safely accomplish this task.

A dental (or any) implant is only as good as the surgeon who puts it in.

The implant size, location, angulation, bone density, sterile protocol, primary coverage (sutures)… just a few things that come to mind… these are the things that matter. The post-procedure care and follow up is just as important.

I would never trust a surgeon that has to resort to groupon to get clients.

PS. research the financial cut that Groupon takes and reassess… everything.

    • Thanks! I will steer away and have made the sense to wife. Now searching for a good dentist
