Pokenman- Go is popular very much all over the world, some countries are limited to play. while the hottest review is still up and up. like 2015 fifa15, Fifa17 will be released on Sep, while little players to talk about. Pokemon Go gets you out of the house. Makes you explore your neighborhood or places you've never been to. The hype has died down, but lots of people still play it. Lots of bugs in the game, but the devs will fix these in time.
As for sports game, I tend to get bored of them after a while. Once you learn the mechanics of the game, it becomes way too easy, unless you play online with friends.
It depends on what appeals to you. I like gaming at home, but I also like exploring places, and Pokemon Go gives me an excuse to do this more.
Just don't download it off some website. Wait till it gets officially released in your country.

Both rubbish if you ask me….which you did. This is not the year for VR, too fresh. Once people have finished playing around with tech demos and devs really need to think how they can use it for real games is when it will rise or fall.

No "Game of the Year" titles are going to come out of VR this year, or next year. Sure, the game of the year for this year may have VR capabilities, but I'm not considering a VR game a true VR game unless it is ONLY VR. If it is a VR game that I can play without the VR headset, then what's the point in the headset at all? The VR exclusive games coming out so far are all toys and gimmicks, and very few can be described as actual 'games'. Most are like the minigames inside Warioware games at current moment. Sold for 10 bucks a pop for 40 minutes of entertainment.
Also, Poke'n'man is not Virtual Reality at all, but in fact Augmented Reality. Virtual Reality is a whole virtual world inside an apparatus or medium to see inside to the digital world. Like Second Life or the many Vive games on steam. Augmented reality, usually without the need for Headsets, involved seeing something through a camera (or your own eyes!) that looks like it is actually taking place in the real world, but it's not really there. It's not Nintendo's first step into AR, either, considering the 3DS has been doing it for what, 5 or 6 years?
People aren't talking about the millions of Fifa titles anymore because it keeps happening every year with less and less of a difference between them. At this point it's only used as a tool to entertain children and keep the masses hushed until Battlefield is slammed down their screaming gullets each year. Most big publishers have their 'throwaway trash' title that they'll release no matter what that only serves as a staple for their bigger games.

So Dirt 3 and Elite aren't actual games according to you. If you cant see the point of the headset that's a bit wierd.
They're games, but they're not VR games. After all, how can it be called a VR game if you don't need to use VR to play it? And if non-VIVE/VR games are some of the more memorable things that you can use VR for then it means that the VR-designed games aren't any good.
Using the headset to play a game not initially designed for VR is just the same as playing it regularly except it's closer to your face, albeit with some extra depth sure, but it doesn't change the overall experience. Playing it with a headset doesn't stop B.J. Blazkowicz from dying or change your son from attempting to nuke Boston. I will only want the technology when I can't play the games it supports without it. Otherwise I'll have to pay upwards of $900 to play games I can already play just fine.
Technically, all games are about a virtual reality. Some are an alternate reality. So you're right AND wrong ;) haha

pokemon seems to only have people that want to collect things in mind. Unless you spend hours upon hours, basically full time in order to get high characters.
The battle mechanics are boring and only advantageous to the attacker. You never get to actually fight anyone, just an AI. All gyms are held by same hand full of pokemon, all really high CP. So this rules out anyone just starting out, or mid game to even compete. The only reason for people below end game to play is to collect and grind.
That means if they battles are boring, the only other thing to do is to collect pokemon. Which is fun for the first week or so, then gets boring again.
They have a lot to fix

Both have trash devs and why are you even comparing 2 games that have nothing in common. There are plenty of games that are better than both you've mentioned. This thread is pointless.
