Rimfire Rifle Scope (Approx $100 Spend)

Hey guys

I'm chasing a cheapy scope for my plinking rifle. Would prefer variable zoom if possible, 40mm objective. Already have weaver bases but no rings.

Keen if anyone has seen any decent bargains around.

Cheers

Hope this helps, my mates tell me Barska scopes represent great value for money (I've not had one personally though): http://www.ozscopes.com.au/sale/hunting-sales-australia?dir=…

But do be prepared for the possible influx of the clueless self-righteous anti-shooting squad here since you've mentioned the key word rifle.

Haha cheers, I've seen Barska's advertised before but never seen them in action. Ozscopes has had bargains in the past but my local shop seems to regularly have better prices then their online prices across the board.

      Thanks for your input

    • There's nothing wrong with a firearm in the hands of a competent and responsible person. In this case, responsibility includes being properly licensed and managing the inherent risks in a safe way.

Same goes with any tool really.

  • Barska are pretty decent for the price, personally on a .22 which is what I'm assuming you have (I'm more fond of 17hmr) 3-9x40 would be a good allrounder.
Apart from Barska have a look at bushnell and vortex, they tend to go on sale around different places and can get closeish to the $100-$150 mark.

Above all don't compromise on your optics, a sub MOA rifle isn't so with a s*** scope.
ie avoid no brand ebay scopes

  • If you are in qld, why not go to shooters delight in Underwood?
These people have great prices, the service is better than cleavers too. Not that I am knocking cleavers, but, cleavers are just way toooooo busy. Staff are run off their feet and mistakes happen when people are rushed.
