See the commentary from this earlier post for some background and discussion on the Nestle boycott.

The ABC recently reported on Nestle's censorship efforts. After these backfired, Nestle agreed to cease buying palm oil from the Indonesian deforestors — whether this position will be maintained after the public gaze recedes is another matter. (They have quietly reversed their position before.)

  • worst. coffee. ever

I wouldn't be surprised. The cashiers are not baristas, and the coffee is made by machine. I'm not tempted at all.

      • I'd much rather a coffee from a machine that an untrained barista.
One knows how not to burn the milk and at least impart come coffee flavour

        • It's easy to avoid the bad baristas and find a good one. There are hardly any good machines. I encountered one in Italy and that was because it ground the beans on the spot; you could hear it.

Many automatic machines grind on the spot, that's the whole point of them however they do require tuning to get the grind right.

They will never be as good as one made by someone who knows hot to make a coffee (or better again the coffee I roast myself) but they can make a decent coffee.
I have an automatic machine at work as i cant stand there making coffee all day and it makes a better coffee than most cafes do.

    • Might be good for cleaning out my cars fuel system then ;-)

  • Anyone knows which Coles Express selling coffee in Sydney?

  • The machines at the Coles Express places grind their own beans you can hear it adn see the beans on top of the machine - it's still from an automatic machine but I reckon it tastes pretty good! ManUtdFans I think there is a list of stores on the website if you click the link… I will be redeeming this offer tomorrow on the way to work I think, any excuse to buy chocolate!
