Travel Plan for Toronto and London

Hi all

I am planning my annual visit to family in Toronto and London. I have done this trip 2 x before but wonder whether I am being travel-smart when I choose my itinerary. My visit time is May 2017.

Last trips itineraries:
Trip 1: (a) Melbourne - London; (b) London - Toronto; (c) Toronto - Melbourne (stopover LAX)
Trip 2: (a) Melbourne>Sydney - Toronto (stopover Vancouver); (b) Toronto - London; (c) London - Melbourne

So any other suggestions on the quickest and also cost-friendly way to do this trip?
I don't mind whether I visit London or Toronto first.

Thanks

  • You could buy cheap one way ticket to London
Then buy cheap multi stop ticket Lon-Toronto-lax-mel
I've tried a similar trip before and can get expensive if you try to combine everything in an around the world style ticket as the airline alliances sometimes don't match up in the most effective way.
Google flights is a handy way to see which days are cheapest for one way flights and date combinations for multi flights
