Great Android <8" Tablets for under $150?

I'm looking for a good android tablet for the kids to use while on an 8 hour plane ride. I'm hoping for a 32GB/2GB tablet with good processors that don't lag. GPS isn't important, but screen quality is. Preferably something with 720p and above resolution. Brand name isn't important, but future OS support (3rd party or otherwise) would be preferable.

I'm hoping something will come up from the eBay 20% discount deal that's going on now, but not sure how to even start searching.

Searched for tablet… all the ones that come up are pretty lousy. Pixi 7" 3G, Acer Iconia One B1, Telstra 7, all have pretty low RAM and very budget processors.

You're better of just visiting JB Hifi or Officeworks and picking up the Lenovo Tab 3 A7-10 7, will set you back $97 AUD. It has a 8 hour (claimed) battery life, which is superior to most bargain-Chinese tab you can buy from overseas.

Here's the link to all of them from various stores

    • Agree, I have one and it is quite usable, even though it has only 1GB RAM (although I paid around $70 on sale)

    • +1 Highly recommend the Lenovo tab3. Have one in my car for media/maps. Don't be scared by the 1GB of ram, it's still plenty quick enough to handle most tasks.

  • Just drug the little brats like everyone else does.

Serious answer: I'd probably be looking for the odd Nexus 7 2013 on eBay.

    • I ended up getting the Lenovo Tab 3 A7. It's not a bad tablet, pretty responsive. Battery life and display could be better though.

      • I've got one too. Got a cheap display model from Good Guys. Fine for watching stuff in the bath - EPL, online TV, Foxtel Go. movies etc. Fits nicely in a zippy bag for protection. Probably the best idea I ever had.

        • That's…whoa!
