I'm flying to Hong Kong on Qantas to visit my parents during the Christmas break- not expecting bargain flights for those peak travelling times but are there any ways of paying for air tickets to get the best bang for buck (read bonus points)?
The best I could come up of is paying by credit card and getting travel insurance and those points.
Better to pay by bank transfer or Poli and avoid the CC surcharges which will cost more than any points you get. Unless you have a qualifying CC.
