Phillips SensoTouch Shaver - Head Replacement

Hi,

I've got the Phillips 1260 shaver; used for 2.5 years and been going great however recently it's been alarming that the head needs to be replaced. I can't get rid of this alarm, comes on every time I use the shaver.

Looked into replacing the head and Phillips have changed the design to an RX12+ which most of the reviews are awful. Many many people asking why Phillips changed a good design into something rubbish.

So question is,

1. Can I get rid of this alarm, current head still works great
2. Do I change to the RX12+ head? $90 @ shavershop
3. Do I fork out $200 and get a new shaver, Braun 7 series looks great

Currently Shavershop have the Braun 7 series for half price however the RRP's are significantly higher than the Braun Australia website which is misleading.
