  • I've been using this for a little while now:

    http://shop.herschelsupply.com/products/oxford-wallet-leathe…

It's basically a purse, and i'm a dude. But its functional for me and quite small. Holds a few cards and some cash (which I rarely have on me). Got it from The Iconic when it was on sale.

  • I just changed to a Crumpler Golden Fleece Card Case.

    Very happy.

  • I've got a pretty casual textile wallet - Nomad Essentials Mr Slim

    https://www.nomadessentials.com.au/products/mr-slim-wallet/

    $19 + postage from Melbourne

Holding together very well, it's quite distinctive (got it with camo pattern) and stores everything I need.

I don't need a wallet. I spend everything I have on Ozbargain. Problem solved. :-)

I've got a Slim Leather Wallet from Palmera Apparel. Looks great and is great quality. Also the owner is very active on OzBargain, and will be able to answer any questions you might have.

      Thanks @realfancyman !

      • No problem man. Keep up the good work

  • i bought one of these in brown when i was in hk, thinking it was similar to the bellroy card sleeve (with the zip) but half the price and japanese. after seeing one of the bellroys, i think i made a good choice. the leather maybe isnt quite as nice, but is still very good, and the wallet is slightly bigger, with some internal pockets that the bellroy doesnt have. so its more comfortable and easier to organise, but still tiny

  • I've been using a fossil leather wallet for about 10 years. It's still as good as the day I bought it. Cost me about $50 and it has proven to be a great buy.

    • +1 for Fossil. Wife bought me one which I scoffed at but have been using it for years and is as good as new… Maybe she is on to something…

No coins - they bulk you out. Thin form. 6 card slots, one extra slot on the exterior for myki. Always leather.

  • I have used this Colorado wallet for a couple of years, and highly recommend it. Love the layout, the pictures don't do it justice (they don't show the ID side of the wallet). $54.99 RRP, can remember purchasing it for less than that on sale though.

  • recommendations for a bi-fold wallet with coin pocket? definitely no zippers & prefer leather.

my current leather wallet has lasted around 20 years but beginning to fray, coin pocket falling apart. i bought it at a warehouse outlet sale for around $15-30.

where do you guys keep coins with these sort of wallets?

    • +3

      you don't.

Put coins into your pocket, then empty into a jar when you get home. After a few months or so take it to your bank and enjoy an 'extra' $50-$100.

  • I've got a valenti leather wallet. Never paid attention to the brand until just now. Was given to me as a present about 11 years ago and still going strong. The only thing "wrong" is the symbol has disappeared from the front. Probably a bit too thick as well but if you consider that there is 24 cards, plus cash including coins it is hardly the wallets fault.

  • I've been rocking one of these for a few years now from Form • Function • Form

Very handy to have a Space Pen and Moleskine note book on hand. Holds license, Medicare, BUPA and QFF in one section and underneath the Moleskine back cover, I store my 4x EFT/CC and fuel docket vouchers.

Been really great and nearly finished my first book (just scribble notes etc) so it comes with 2 x Moleskine so will swap it out soon!

Not bulky but not too slim that it can't hold anything.
The leather and stitching is nice and although the Space pen holder slot is a bit loose now after a few years, it still holds together nicely.

I also have their leather Timex watch bands if you look on their website - very nice Horween leather!

  • I got a good quality nylon velcro sports/surf wallet over 6 years ago from Kathmandu - was around $30 but got it during sale for I think around $15. Has everything - space for cards, a zippable bills section also good for coins or even things like memory cards, a clear window, yet still thin and comfy. Plain black so it's not conspicuous. It still functions the same today as when it was new even though it's been through many tortures, and it's definitely the most resilient wallet I've ever owned.

Wrapping my mind around the fact that I have a velcro wallet took me a few days when I got it. Now I will never go back to anything else.

  • I got this a couple couple years ago:

    http://www.louiscardinishop.com/collections/acceessories/pro…

Still almost in the same condition I got it in. Pretty happy with it, and it's not too flashy. Just black leather.

  • Can anyone please recommend me a 'business card only' holder?
I feel anxious taking out/putting in business cards into my suit pockets etc.

  • I have and love this - https://www.secrid.com/en/

I don't care so much for the skimming protection, but the flick out mechanism for quick card access is awesome (and always gets positive comments).

  • Bellroy user here, very satisfied with my purchase. Combine it with the Stocard app to help slim your wallet.

  • I always loved the Magic wallet they are slick and cool. You can get a good quality original leather from Status anxiety Myer for $40

    http://www.myer.com.au/shop/mystore/status-anxiety-mens/flip…

  • I've been using a Billabong one that I picked up for about $50 in 2008.

Just using the removable insert now as the bulk of a full-size wallet was just annoying. Very happy with how long it's lasted. Still holds cards perfectly, and isn't worn much, so I'm very happy.

  • Bellroy = slim but big/tall and ugly

I would recommend getting something unique and long-lasting.

I've bought from these guys before (ostrich wallet) and it's been over 3 years now and it still look as good as new. Price is decent too. Only problem you might have is shipping but lots of US forwarding shipping companies out there online…

  • Phone Case

  • I'm using the Distilunion Wally Bifold , would highly recommend it if you're looking for something minimal to carry cash / cards.

  • Have a Calvin Klein one similar to this with the removable card case. Like it since I can keep my Opal card in there and has made tapping on and off a lot quicker.

  • Coin section so you always use your pennies before your pounds

  • If you're after a slim minimalist wallet check us out, we've just posted our first deal: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/279501

  • I've been using Dash Slim wallets for a few years now, ready to buy a new one, but the postage from US is half the price of the wallet I want (Slim Elastic Wallet 4) but 2 are same price for shipping. Anyone want to share on shipping cost to get a Dash Wallet?

  • is this the ozb choice of wallet ?

    • +1

lightest and most minimal of wallets I've been able to find, so if not the wallet of choice, it should be!
