  • Great shoes, I have two pairs and they are awesome, great price too, they are $269.95 over here and asics have stopped exporting from the USA now, so can't buy in the US.

    • Yeah, was just comparing the prices in the US and noticed the export restriction for Asics.

Was considering these last week but I picked up the Nike LunarGlide+ instead at footlocker.com for A$95 shipped (20% off + another 30% off coupon!).

      • How you get a 20% + 30% off?

    • What's the deal with the US restriction? Are US sites just not delivering overseas or will they get nabbed by customs here? Could you still use a US mail forwarder?

      • you can still use a us mail forwarded with no problems, especially if the items are marked "gift" when sent.

    • Are you sure? at Eastbay I can add Asics to my cart and go to payment screen. There is nothing about restrictions.

Eastbay have the Kayano 16's for about AU$155 delivered.

      • ditto for me with trying to buy from running warehouse out of the US - allows me to select AU no dramas.

  • these are the best for running. +1

  • How do you get $160?

This is at least $190 pay via paypal.

    Edit:

Ahhh my bad …. Price for UK is 108 but to OZ is 91.91

Yup, we don't need to pay their VAT. :)

Looks like you can get another £5 off if you sign up to their mailing list: http://www.wiggle.co.uk/h/option/Vouchers

    • You don't need to do currency conversions on Wiggle they will display pricing in AUD and charge you in AUD so there's no hidden surprises. I purchased a lot of stuff from them and can't fault them.

  • +1

thats excellent value! The cheapest I've seen them is for $210 at 'Sims Sports' on Puckle St, Moonee Ponds, VICTORIA

    • Sims Sports… Woo! No matter where in the world you are… You'll always see someone in s Sims Sports Moonee Ponds tshirt!

  • Are these the best running Asics you can get?

And how does UK sizes work? I have a pair of asics soccer boots and had to go half a US size smaller than usual, luckily I had them in front of me to try on and find out.

    • +1

Just go to Rebel and try them on to get your size. As they just have shelves full of shoes you can usually try on shoes without getting hassled.

      • But what if it doesn't say UK sizes on them? I have a pair of Asics runners bought from overseas that only has US/EUR/CM on the tongue.

    • The Kayano's are one of the top of the range, although there are also the Asics Kinsei which retail for about $299, but they're generally for people who have good arches or those who need to put orthotics in their shoes.

  • If you have a pair of asics shoes already, you can convert the US to UK size with this website:

Ref sizing…use the chart posted above for conversion, but also note the following advise from the Asics website:

For running shoes we recommend that you go up ½ to a full size from your usual shoe size. When running your feet will swell. We recommend that you have a thumbnail's width of space at the end of the shoe to ensure you have enough room to accommodate this. Generally, if you'll be running up to 10K in a session, a half size up should be sufficient, but if you're doing more than 10K a full size up might be needed.

    • wow that's a lot of swelling for a whole size

  • Great price for product delivered.

  • Thanks, Been on the look out for cheap kayano's!

Bought one off the website. Saves waiting for a 35% off at footlocker :)

  • Oh thats bs. I just got some for my birthday were 279.95 and got for 220 at foot locker. Best shoes I have worn ever does my routine no worries.

  • The most comfortable shoe going around.

  • Really, Really awesome price, too bad I don't find the Kayano's comfortable due to my flat feet.

  • Kayanos are awesome! The sole does wear down for me fairly quickly but they are great shoes. I have buying them for years. I have often bought them in the past for around $200 from rebel price matching sportsmart.

  • Awesome, just bought some Nike's from there. Very cheap prices in general.

I am a runner & I have been wearing Kayano's for the past 10 years, but the new models aren't that great. I tried them out but unfortunately had to go looking for another brand pair of runners and came to a decision on the Brooks Adrenaline GTS 10 - Cheaper and as good (if not better) than the Kayanos: http://www.wiggle.co.uk/p/run/8/Brooks_Adrenaline_GTS_10_Sho…

    • 100% agree; kayanos have been hit and miss lately; some years are great; then others are rubbish; apparently the 16s have some new shoelace design which some people are not happy about;

      I purchased a few pairs of the 15s on sale from finishline;

  • Really good shoes in my opinion. I've never had a problem with Asics. Will have to do the US to UK conversion and get some.

  • bought a pair of these as factory seconds on US ebay for about $90 delivered. pretty awesome shoes.

  • I got a pair of Asics Evo 5's last year from Eastbay because of my flat feet ($20 less than Kayano 16), but they stop shipping all asics outside of the US now?

I have been getting to fat lately..need to pull the asics back out.

Also followed the link to sign up to newsletter n get 5 pound off voucher. Final price $AU 151.22, about $120 cheaper than i saw at the shops today!!

  • tried to get from eastbay, after putting in CC details, it says an item (ie. shoes) cannot be shipped to Australia. Damn, was hoping to get Kayano 15's on the cheap

  • Can confirm I've tried to buy the kayanos several times from Eastbay lately and they won't ship to AUS due to export restrictions.
Kayano 15's were something like $100-$110 shipped during exchange rates then!

  • Great price. They arrived in the mail this morning. I've been looking for cheap Kayano 16s for a while.

  • Are these ok for wide feet?
