The look on the guy's face when he said he had sold a whole crate of these today and I told him they got ozbargained. He was like 'oz waaat?'

  • You know what would make dads happy? These deals all year long and not having to rely on family to pick your beer.

It's a shame these are only 330ml. Got a case from the last deal. I down these in like 2-3 mouthfuls, look surprisingly at an empty bottle and think wtf I already need to get the misses to get me another from the fridge!

If you down them in 2-3 mouthfuls your mouthfuls are around 110-165mls. Increasing the bottle to say 375ml won't really change that equation…
P.s. you sound like a lovely person.

      • Nice of you to be so analytical about something that was said lightheartedly.

I'm not used to 330ml beers so always get caught off guard when I finished one of these as I was expecting another mouthful or so. Great beer as I enjoy these types similar to Blue Moon, but I finish them too quickly.

Also after going from 500ml Asahi's don't help!

P.s. Yep the misses obviously thought I am, and she's next to me laughing whilst I type this =)

        • The final 45ml of a cheap can normally tastes like urine anyway.

    • Write a letter to the belgiums and demand they make long necks for aussie mouths.

      • They do, but not often exported.

        • Mind blown.

    • get some 500ml cans for $40, drink that first
these nice beers deserve to drink slower to enjoy the full taste

    • Agree.

      330ml is a sham.

16 beer cases are the new sham. It's only a matter of time.

  • Was there any with a reasonable shelf period? Mine were best before late Oct - hoping for some to make it over Xmas/New Years.

  • I used to drink Hoeys all the time but does anyone else think the taste has changed in the past year? The last couple of cartons I bought tasted different to me, I haven't bought a carton again since and that was probably almost a year ago. Maybe they were just a bad batch but… not sure.

    • Probably not to the extent you have, but yes, I have noticed they have changed slightly. It used to be close to the stuff that came out of a tap in bars, but nowadays its a little mroe departed. Can't put my finger to it without tasting bot back to back, but definately different.

      • I had to google to see if they'd released a new range and I'd gotten the wrong one…. but nope same one I'd always bought.

    • the $40 case I got in the last deal did taste a bit different but it was close to use by

    • I was thinking the same thing when I got a carton earlier in the year, but the one's I picked up the other week are perfect. I think there might just be more variation with wheat beers in general depending on how they are stored and age before they get to you.

      • On that note I think i'll give them another shot and see
