Samsung 533L French Door - SRF533DLS

Hi guys,

I'm in the market for a new fridge and wondering if this is a good deal? TGG currently have this model for $1475 and the reviews don't look too bad. Just wondering if anyone else is using same model? or anything similar this range as a suggestion?

        10% off = $1326.60

Looks like they're offering free delivery on that one to Sydney metro, check your postcode to make sure they deliver to you :)

This all saves you having to transport a big fridge! :)

        • buying large appliances online is great, but do bear in mind that if you have a warranty claim, returning it for repair is a bit of an effort

          @oscargamer:

No need to return anything like that these days, Samsung will send someone to you.

Where you buy from has no effect on how hard it is to get a warranty repair done

        • @oscargamer: this is what I'm worried as well. Specially hearing that fridges tend to have warranty claims here and there.

        • @Spackbace:

          cool, my bad

        • @pgardiye:

The only concern would be if you were looking to get an extended warranty, where you need to get the retailer involved. Otherwise for any warranty repairs, you can call Samsung, regardless of whether you bought from AO or GGs, and they'll send a tech out to you.

Seen it happen plenty of times with TV repairs, they just sent someone out to look at it

        • @Spackbace: awesome thank you for the info. Think this is a better deal?

        • @pgardiye:

Unless GGs can give you the 10% off and free delivery, then yeah AO is the better deal

GGs offer the price guarantee, if a retailer offers it cheaper inside the 30 days, but that's a gamble

Don't hesitate buying from AppliancesOnline, they're great. I wanted to return a panel heater and they sent a truck out to my work to pick it up and got a full refund.

      • appliancesonline were great with me. Bought a new gas cooktop that was delivered damaged, they asked for some photos, but then sent out a new one. They were very easy to deal with.

We bought our Samsung fridge from Appliances Online and they delivered and installed for free. Very happy.

  • Thanks guys, wondering if I should get this instead? http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/NEW-Samsung-SRF583DLS-583L-French… few more $$ but bigger capacity and similar built. Anyone here using this model?

bought this for $1515 yesterday and getting delivered today :), hopefully fridge will live up to its standards :)

  • Own a 535 for the last 6 years and had to change the heater element 3 time. 1 was under warranty and the other was not. Lots of negative review on samsung fridges which i didn't read the reviews before i bought…

    • Yeah I see that few negative comments for older models, however seems to have improved with newer ones. Couldn't find much faults with the newer model I purchased. Will see how it goes I suppose :)

So far so good :) happy with the fridge. Quiet and good space inside. Just need to connect the plumbing to ice maker. Appliancesonline delivered and installed it the next day, good service from them.
