Hey guys, so I'm currently stuck on trying to move an existing Vodafone number (lets call it number A) into my Vodafone Red $80 Plan (lets call it number B). Number A is not on a Plan and is not under my name. I'm hoping to move number A into my plan to replace number B while keeping the plan. Reason - I'm on two plans right now and don't need the extra plan, so I might as well pass it over to my friend to use. I was thinking of just giving my friend the number to use and they pay me a discounted rate instead of doing transfer of ownership and having to reimburse them $xx amount each month.
So anyways, I've been told I'm not allowed to do this, whether it is: 1) Moving existing Vodafone number into contract or 2) Porting out to different a provider then porting back to Vodafone.
Note: I did use option 2 before back in March when I ported an Amaysim number into another Vodaphone plan (under my name). I have no idea why they are not letting me to do it now. They are also unable to explain why I could do it back then…
So does any Ozbargainers know any way to bypass this?
P.S.Don't ask how I ended up with 2 numbers, its a sad and stupid story T_T
