Discounts on Accors / Sofitel Hotels?

Does anyone have any go to methods they use to obtain discounts on Accors (specifically Sofitel) hotels, that are excluded from typical discounts on most travel booking sites?

e.g. Venere, CheapTickets, hotels.com, expedia.com discounts all do not work with Sofitel.

I know that accors gift cards can be purchased at 10% off through some channels, is that the best/only way? Is it possible to get cashback as well?

    They usually have a 40% off sale. Become their member & they send out the sale notifications.

      Should have clarified. For any hotels that are not part of the 40%

    I did just find a (was expired) webjet code that worked for 10% off :)

    Use cashback and go through Accor's site.
    If you want to go that extra mile, search trivago to see if anyone has the rates under what Accor does. Book on Accor (with cashback), then claim a price beat guarantee.
