Mobile Phone Recommendation

Hi there,

Can anyone please recommend a suitable mobile phone for me? Requirements as below.

  1. Good camera: Above 12.3-megapixel
  2. Not too big around 5.2 inches
  3. Good memories 32GB or more
  4. Fast processing: Doesn't take forever to take phones
  5. Light
  6. Budget is $800
  7. Can wait for the promotion price

I am currently using an Nexus 5X. I like the phone except the wifi keeps dropping off, I bought it on edightal camera not sure if it takes lots of efforts to fix or return it. It takes forever to take photos.

    I bought a Xperia Z3+ for $350 on Ebay: dual sim, cheap, build quality to rivals the best and very fast with Geekbench multiscore of 4200.

    Have a look at the copper gold or aqua green colours, damn good looks.

        Always a risk with grey imports, but there's the unsaid pseudo-warranty with 120 days Paypal case lodgement and sellers 1 year return to Aus base warranty (if they offer it)

      I'm looking at a Z3+ at the moment. My new Z5 compact delivered D.O.A last week, the infamous rebooting issue. Thought I might try some more proven technology, kind of like the census on paper form idea. Do you mind me asking who you bought from on ebay, and how it went?

        Bought from 7272wil, ships from HK despite the Aus location but I got it in 3 days. Phone seems new and unopened (need to be-careful as some sellers open them) and the phone has had no problems for 3 weeks now. When there is an Ebay sale, I cannot recommend this phone enough, the initial stigma of it 'overheating' has really hammered the price down but the most latest update has fixed this problem. Tested with 10minutes of 4K video recording and no problems. Bit of a performance bargain from a good brand I reckon.

          Thanks Pimko, have put it on the shortlist. Will wait a little while and watch for a relevant ebay sale, they seem to be enjoying that sort of thing lately.

    Buy a Samsung S7 from mobileciti or one of the other companies. It's better than all those phones listed above.

    There's a reason why that phone is the best selling phone of 2016.

    I have a Samsung S7 Edge and it is the best phone I have ever used. The hardware alone should be enough to entice you. Samsung pay is also superior to every other payment system too. Far better than my iphone 6s (work phone) and all the Sony/Nexus phones I have used in the past.

    megapixel does not mean good camera. e.g. Samsung S7, HTC 10, Nexus 6P > 16 megapixels.

    If fast processing is only for the camera and you don't play games.
    Moto G4 or G4 Plus is all you need

    But if you really want to spend more. (All phones below are Australia stock)
