Using Credit Card (AmEx / Citi) for a Jetstar or Tiger Domestic Flight. What Is The Best Way?

Hi guys,

I'm looking to use my points to book a flight. I'm looking at Jetstar etc because they have an unlimited bags policy (whereas Virgin / Qantas only allow one bag) and I'm taking ski's / snowboard.

Surprisingly, both Amex and Citi Travel are cheaper than Skyscanner for website direct pricing!

But just thought I'd check if there are any gift card loopholes / transfer points methods etc before booking

FYI - The flights are ADL - MEL (8th Sep after 3pm) / MEL - ADL 11th after 5pm)

Cheers all

If you could do a jetstar pricebeat of a tigerair flight then it would be cheaper AND there are no fees for amex on a pricebeat.

    • Thanks, but Citi travel is still actually cheaper at the times I need even with the 10% price beat. I was surprised.
Amex is only Virgin Air, but I have heard you can get travel agent gift card, and then beat by 10% I guess.

Just did a pricebeat and there's a fee for all credit card payments :(
