Cashrewards and Woolworths gift cards?

New to the Cash Rewards scene and am wondering about the right way to use them for Gift Cards 5% of for WW.

I just bought a $50 e-Gift card for WW. I got the 5% off which is fine. But now I want to use the gift card at Dan Murphys to buy myself a bottle of Cointreau 700ml which is listed there for $43.90

Cash Rewards says 'up-to' 8% rewards for Dan Murphy. I checked their list and it says 6% on spirits, so I guess I should get 6% back as reward from $43.90

But then it says "Cashback on Digital Gift Cards: 3.00%", so given that this e-gift card is a digital card vs physical plastic card (which I didn't want due to postage fees) does that mean I only get 3% reward?

Im a bit confused :)

    cashback on digital gift cards apply to purchase of digital gift cards. It is strange, but you get 3% cash back on gift card purchases from Dan Murphy's.

    You get 3% cashrewards cashback if you buy giftcards from DM's website. You could use your 5% off gift card to buy the giftcard from DM and then use that to buy your liquor from DM from DM's website? Lol.

      So purchase a $100 @5% off eGift voucher for $95
      Then use $100 eGift to purchase a $100 DM digital gift card @3% cashback
      Then use $100 DM digital gift card to purchase goods through cashrewards?

      So after cashback it's $92 for $100 of DM goods + applicable cashback to the actual purchase?
      Cashback-ception?

        Yea, I don't see why not. I am not sure if you can keep going deeper into the gitcard-ception buying DM giftcards after you have converted your money into a DM giftcard though.

        And you will end up with giftcards with a few dollars left over. :)

        Go to cashrewards.com.au, click through to danmurphys.com.au, type in "gift card" in the search box. Create your giftcard, then add it to cart, then checkout as usual?

          check out only have payment option credit card or paypal, no giftcard option

          @LoveBargain15: Ok, you are right, you can't buy a DM giftcard with your Cashrewards Woolies giftcard it seems. I guess they fixed the giftcard-ception. It used to work when I tried it the last time, which was when Cashrewards started having 5% off Woolies giftcards.

    State your postcode…. eg JW Red list's for $38 onsite, then $32 when you list your postcode (bris north)/ I havnt btherd with the cards, too much bs, fine print, mistakes and change left over….
