Which Courier Company Do You Use?

Hi guys, which courier company do you use/recommend? I have been using Auspost but now thinking switch to sendle because price is attractive. However I am hesitate because they do not have a phone number to contact for delivery inquiries. Moreover, I cannot tell how fast they response and how fast they find the parcel through their website.

Can someone please recommend a courier service that is reliable but does not cost more than Auspost? Thanks in advance.

  • Courier Please….

    • they have a really good social media reviews.
do they ask you to rate them online?

    • I have used Courier please in one of my old job, the delivery speed is fantastic. I have send over 500 parcels with them, 0 missing. Just that now as I am having my own ebay business, I'd like to find a cheaper option to begin with. Will definitely consider Courier please again if I can do 20 parcels per week.

what type of business you do now a days. what do you sell ?

        • I sell various of stuff (Whatever I found profitable with reasonable quality). So far I only need courier for some of the Party supplies items. So only 5-10 parcels per week

  • Not sure the volume you are looking at. If it's not constant then Officeworks has their Mailman service which is quite competitive (against Oz Post anyway)

    • Thanks! Will look into that

  • I have tried sendle when they posted a deal on ozbargain. I found them worthwhile for large packages( had some excess baggage moved from Melbourne to Sydney. Charged me under 30$ for 25kg suitcase and delivered in 2 days.

    • Just curious, what courier service did they use? I heard that they use fastway often?

      • "couriers please" one of the two times I've used them not sure who was the other(they left it at local newsagent as I requested). I do not recommend "couriers please" based on the single experience I've had.

  • Ive been using sendle, no problems this far. They reply within 2 days via facebook messaging.

    • Gosh I didn't think of FB!! Thanks for the idea.

I use Fastway for my business(sending from Melbourne, B2B), and I am mostly happy with them, except sending to WA(I use Auspost prepaid satchels for WA). They can do same day Melbourne deliveries (morning pickup, afternoon delivery). However, I believe they are franchised, so your mileage may vary.

Edit: I have been told by Sendle that they use Fastway for some deliveries.

Came here to say not to use Fastways as they've been terrible.

Then again most drivers are their own franchise.

    • Thank you

  • We had problems with Auspost and Sherpa and we were losing customers due to undelivered goods so we tried using Zoom2u. Their prices are reasonable and our customers can track their courier so we and they both know where their parcels are at all times.

    • Thanks. Their live chat for delivery inquiry is absolutely attractive. However, Their online quoted shows that they charges $168 for a 3kg box from Sydney to Brisbane. Flat rates is available for businesses 20+ parcels per day. Unfortunately my business is too small for that.

  • Whatever you do, do NOT use Fastway Couriers http://www.fastway.com.au/
    - They never call before delivery. I was told that calling before delivery is not part of their service, take it or talk to the seller. They don't care.
    - Since all their couriers are sub contractors, the contractors fail to deliver items on time, or return shipment to depot without leaving a 'missed you' card
    - The call center wait time and service is bad
    - Frequently delayed shipment.
    - Online service often gives delayed tracking info.
    - Scheduling a re-delivery is a nightmare
    - Unfortunately, many Aussie ebay sellers use them as they provide them bulk pricing, at the cost of inconvenience to customers. In that case, give the sellers a negative feedback and state 'due to Fastway Couriers'.
