  • Telstra credit via Google play, if you are a prepaid Telstra customer on their now old plans

    • Ah,I just picked up a telstra starter pack. I take it that I have missed out on the old plan?

      • They ceased it a couple of weeks back :(

    • Interesting.. I don't have any options within the app to renew using Google Play.. any tips?

      • I had to delete the app and reinstall. Then I created a new account and it then let me choose billing method, I then selected bill my Telstra account

        • I never saw the Netflix billing on Google play money through Telstra freedom plus……always seemed to never be working

          @albanyson:
I finally got mine working over the weekend.
Following this guide that I found completely by random.
          https://forums.whirlpool.net.au/forum-replies.cfm?t=2446718&…

I was able to do this with an old (cancelled 3 months ago) account too.
The "trick" seems to be the signing out which for some reason prompts the Netflix app to give you a different login screen.. (have to tick that you're over 18)

        • @scubacoles: thanks for that. Alot of pages to read through….. Appreciate the heads up and help finding that.

  • Group Netflix … I used my brother in law account , thus it free ;)

He said pay for Netflix, pay.

    • Yeah this is a good way to do it. My BIL in the US has some plan that lets him have up to 5 devices on at one time. I split with him, a friend, and me. I've only ever had it come up once about having too many people logged in in the 2 years we started doing it

  • Is everything that's on Netflix on Kodi?

    • Yes.

pay via itunes, purchase itunes cards at 25% off at coles and woolies when on sale, OfficeWorks has 20% off itunes cards as standard

    • Don't you need an actual Apple TV unit to buy Netflix subscriptions?

      • no

      • +1

no you only need access to an apple product, if you have purchased or used netflix in the past, cancel the subscription, wait until day after expiry, then sign up using the same netflix login on an apple device, then set payment as via itunes

        • Hi

So just to confirm, if i cancel the subscription and then resign up via itunes, using same log in it keeps the history and basically same account?

        • @odrocs1987:

ok so i dont use any apple products but ive got my bros iphone and a $100 in itunes credit and can't figure out how to do this! i tried going thru itunes but it just gives me individual episodes to buy not a subscription? sorry i feel really really dumb right now lol

        • @CheapskateQueen:
log in to itunes using your account on your brothers phone, download netflix, once downloaded, log in and sign up for netflix using your expired account details, when you get to the payment section, select pay via itunes.

    • I did the same thing.

      It works really well.

All you need is to create a Apple ID on your / or your friend's phone and top it up. Then, install Netflix and select the payment method.

In the future, you just buy the card and top it up using your PC iTunes account.

    • Yeah, this.
I believe the 25% off deals are for SA only, but yeah 20% off through OW is good.

  • Has anyone managed to get telstra credit working for netflix recently?
I've tried all the suggestions (delete, re-install, new account, new email, different device etc)

Telstra credit is working for other apps, just not showing up for netflix.

    Thanks

        • @Baahubali:
Freedom plus has stopped Google play credit on recharge value for new, only to existing freedom plus

        • @albanyson: i got data pass sim plan, hence paying via accumulated balance..

  • Thanks for the info about using iTunes to pay for Netflix. Presto is closing down on the 1st Feb and I was looking at what other options are around. I've had Presto free for a 12 months thanks to a Ozbargin

    • oh is it? good, hopefully that'll release some content to Netflix & Stan

      • I setup Foxtel app hoping to watch the rest of Mr Robot, it was exclusive t0 Presto. Well, they only have one episode available. Can you believe it?! I'm having heaps of problems streaming on the Foxtel app too
