Three Mobile Delivery

Ive ordered a mobile phone from three last friday. They sent me an email regarding ID check on Monday, and i immediately sent them back my license, and uni ID..etc.

Since then ive heard nothing, called them up four times yesterday (five times, but one 'gayathri' dropped the line as soon as i said the problem), none of the call center people can locate my order (via the order number and my name). All of them told me to email [email protected]. I did, and i get an automated response saying 'Thank you for your email. This inbox is not monitored. For information on how to access your account details or contact customer care please see below….(Three promotional blah)*'. I notified two of them about this issue, and both of them took down my details and said they would contact me with 24 hours. They haven't.

Read about similar issues with Three on Whirlpool. Will they ever locate my order? do i need to call some 'special' number where people know what im talking about? Just wanted to find out what i should do from here. your thoughts?

  • Had the same experience 2 years ago and recently. Had 4 different people responding to me with various answers and had to give them all the same information. Just keep repeating your information and documents and eventually someone (or groups of people) will process it. Don't expect anything at faster than a snail's pace.

    • yeah. thats what i will do. thanks. hopefully i receive it sometime this millennia before they phase out mobile phones.

  • I found Three has pretty dreadful customer service except when it comes to pestering you to renew your contract. I got out as soon as I could when contract expired. My phone kept dropping out of reception mid conversation. I couldn't make a call lasting more than one or two minutes. Or it would drop out as soon as it connected. So i kept having to call people back and get charged the flagfall for the 2 sec (sometimes like 3-4 times) and I live in Sydney inner suburbs. Even happened if the person I called was in the immediate area. Three sometimes blamed the phone or the network but never had a solution or fix.
    On top of that, when there were billing issues, it took forever to sort out on hold or said answering customer service didn't have authority to fix.
    Have been with optus, telstra and that other service provider that collapsed dramatically (??one tel??)…all much much better.

  • why dont you track it,
    they give you the url link to track down your order, all you need to do fill in the order# and your email address , you can see it in which phase is your order. this happen to my order as well last week, i monitored it with the url link they gave.
    and now my phone is in the post office waiting for my collection and i can see it all from that link…

    • when i go to the order status it says 'consultant is reviewing your order' and it is blank next to 'courier' and 'courier tracking code'.

      I even tried resending my personal ID details by going back into the 'send ID to 3' which i used on monday to upload my personal ID. It fails to recognise my Order ID.

      What to do?

  • just wait.. until they are finish reviewing your order, thats what happened to me as well last week..
    they asked my ID and everything.. the order status still reviewing..around 2 days after that i received and email saying my order is in process by warehouse.. give them a time.. if next week still no news, try to call them again :)
