Especially with the "One complimentary chips per transaction", transaction implies an instance of buying or selling.

Iirc, they ran a similar promo a few years ago. No purchase required to claim the free chips

Yeah, I just signed up and it mentioned a free drink. Opened the app and saw this:
"Receive a complimentary Mount Franklin Sparkling Water with any main item purchase."
You can get both. As explained in the post the free chips isn't through the app.
Never received any email for the account verification they say they've sent. Not letting me login without verification.

A lot has changed since 2016, most Nando's have closed down
I don't know many in WA that have, but their quality has tanked, I barely go there anymore. Also, they used to do deals for peri peri members like free seriously large chips with any main all the time. Never see that now, really killed the random lunchtime visits for me.

They used to regularly do members deals like free chips. The only one I've got lately was a classic burger, regular side and drink for $19.90. $19.90. Bargain!
They're not really competitive anymore when it comes to a special at a legit burger place.
I don't think many go there for lunch break, audience seems to be African migrants, and families at the SA one.
If anything not having to do $15 lunch deals like every burger store means more profit, so closing half there stores was a strange choice.
@nephilim: The one in the city here is pumped at lunch, but yeah, the OG (in Australia) one in Tuart Hill is filled with Africans and a few Indians too. All day long though, not just dinner. They walk 10+ minutes to it too, not like my lazy butt that would drive and even then often through the drive through.
They really don't do any good deals anymore..No WTF deals . No good value for money. Half chicken and chips is $24 essentially. Aside from this sign up deal it's not worth it
how is Nandos even surviving these days…
They may not tbh. They trashed their franchisees, and caused them to revolt and start Capricho. Now they rely on a few high volume locations to stay afloat, but have such a small network to spread the corporate costs across.
The perk perks program used to be really good!
They used to do heaps of events and cool stuff, now hardly any promotions.

Always purchase a meal to share. It's always cheaper than two individual meals. Also, during your birthday month, you can $15 off via the app. They wont check ID.
They increased their prices once again. Seriously large chips for $11.95 is seriously a joke
