Travel Card over The Counter

Hi All,

I've left this way too late but citibank have closed my everyday account, and they do not know why.
To resend a card would take 5-7days.
I am going overseas on Friday, is there any travel cards i could get over the counter that provide a good rate?

Thank you!

  • I do have a Velocity and Qantas card laying around.
Looks like velocity may be the way to go

  • All the major banks do them over the counter. You don't need a savings account but with commbank for example you can transfer/convert money instantly via the app.

Velocity and Qantas Cash while useful that they give you points it takes a couple of days to load up.

If I were you I'd pop to your normal bank(please don't tell me Citibank is your regular bank???) and grab one from them for a backup.

  • Travelex offer a multicurrency passport card over the counter. You get two cards with different PINs and up to 5 currencies.
It is well rated at CANSTAR.

Thanks for all your advise !
I ended going with NAB Travel Card

The no reload fee and no atm transactions is what sold me
