So I recently purchased the HP Proliant Server for 169 from Wharehouse1 in their last sale.
It came with a 1TB HDD and taking a closer look, it doesnt look like a server HDD.
Got me thinking, how many people on here have bought those servers and just use regular HDDs with it. Any issues so far/ in the past with doing this?
Specifically looking at hard drives failing early etc.
Yeah Ive got my main drive in raid 10 and the other data I dont really care too much if it goes away, just videos etc I can easily re download. Thought I'd ask if anyone has had any bad personal experiences.

Should be fine
Just ensure you backup and don't flog the drive
Provided its a reasonable brand it should last fine
Server drives just have a higher MTBF and are designed for 24x7 usage
