Organic Cacao Beans
Raw whole cacao beans, Trinitario variety, grown organically on Malekula Island, Vanuatu and shipped to Australia by sailboat. Guaranteed to have not been treated with pesticide spray or heat on entry to Australia.
Lightly roasted they can be eaten whole as a super food or ground down into a drinking chocolate. Feeling a bit more ambitious? Make your own cacao products or even try bean to bar homemade dark chocolate. There are many recipes available on the internet for making healthy cacao recipes with added nuts, dried fruits and seeds.
Raw cacao has amazing health benefits being one of the highest antioxidant foods on the planet – much higher than blueberries and even goji berries. They are packed full of health giving and ‘feel good’ compounds and minerals such as iron, zinc, copper, potassium, phosphorus, calcium, magnesium, and sulfur.
With the years of experience we have roasting specialty coffee, we realised that this expertise could be translated through to cacao and have fine tuned our process and are able to deliver high quality fresh roasted organic cacao for our customers enjoyment.

DO NOT GRIND IN CONICAL BURR COFFEE GRINDER UNLESS YOU ARE HAPPY TO CLEAN THE MESS AFTERWARDS :-)
We did grind in our coffee burr grinder but it came out like liquid chocolate and meant I had to strip and clean my grinder ;-)
A better way is to use a blade grinder or food processor. You can eat the beans whole or short bursts of a blender/ blade grinder will produce a result more preferable if wanting a powder like drinking chocolate. You can add vanilla or sugar as required. More intense blending due to heat will produce more like a liquid chocolate.

They are very versatile and there are a lot of guides/recipes online. If feeling more ambitious you can even make your own chocolate (bean to bar)

Good timing! I emptied the last of my beans into the grinder last night!

One issue… I want the coffee only deal, no cacao, but both deal options seem to be adding the cacao option to the cart. Is it just me?

    • Not just you. I am having the same problem =)

Sorry button description is wrong, just fixed! Don't worry if you have selected the $59.95 option you will get 4 x 480g coffee sent and if you have selected the $69.95 deal you will get the additional cacao with the coffee

  • I don't even have a grinder. always get ground. Never heard if this as brand but 500gm of aurora of aroudb $8 at Coles ground.

To think about it there was a post about manna bean f avoirites thread 2 weeks ago - that's the first time I've heard of them

Coffee goes stale very quickly once ground.

Manna beans aren't for people who buy cheap preground coffee from Coles.

      • +1

Bit do cafes sell manna? They do sell aurora though

        • +4

Cafes sell all sorts of stuff, doesn't mean it's all good. As a general rule, if it's sold in a supermarket, chances are good that it won't be fresh.

      1. Do a bit of reading on the difference between pre-ground and freshly ground beans.
      2. Find someone with a grinder so you can do a comparison.
      3. Spend the money on a decent grinder and fresh whole beans.

Manna Beans have been posting here for nearly 4 years

      • yeah, I cant really say anything about this brand because ive never tried them.

'fresh roasted beans' can be horrible too - some brands we tried at work were really bad.

ya perfect timing got one little bag left from last deal, drinking so much coffee since getting new machine. thanks ordering now

  • Hi Rep,

Any chance of doing a deal for a lesser quantity? it would take me ages to get through 4 x 480g!
    No worries if you can't.

    Cheers!

First time customer of Manna Beans and I was super impressed by their friendly customer service.
Not only did they create a deal for smaller quantities, but they replied quickly to my messages and went out of the way to post ASAP so I'd get the coffee before the weekend!

Just poured my first cup and the crema was excellent! Very happy, will definitely order again!
        Thanks

Just made a nice drinking choccy using the beans. Grind beans, add one tea spoon sugar per cup and grind also. Put with milk of choice into saucepan on a low heat. Add a heaped teaspoon of peanut butter per cup and stir till heated. Pour through strainer into mug and enjoy.
Used peanut butter because I couldn't find any vanilla essence. Glad I did though as adds a nice underlying edge, well worth a go IMO.

        • Yum, sounds delicious! Hadn't thought of peanut butter. Thanks for the ideas!

Will be buying from these guys again, although not the 2kg deal (last week I think I suffered caffeine overdose cause only I drink coffee mostly and not the missus and 2kg in a month is a LOT).
Their jamocha blend is awesome, but not a big fan of the columbua incas (each to their own though. Would still drink!).
Beans are fresh. They make a world of difference when making espressos and ristrettos. Jamocha with cow juice is awesome!

Thanks Charzy good to hear, appreciate the feedback! Inza is a bit unique :-) If there ia a specific coffee that is not a favourite and it happens to be listed in a future deal we always encourage people to leave a note in Paypal and we try to substitute.

      • I'm a fan of the Columbians but I must say the Inza is not the best of the lot.
