Scabbing Free Meals with *Non-Specific Fast-Food Company's* latest marketing strategy

Hey all,

So I redeemed one of the scanner tickets using the associated app and won a burger (Chicken burger or something) so thought I'd redeem it next time I went to a store.

Turns out the employees just wanted to see the win screen when I went through the drive-thru rather than hit the redeem button. Tried this again at another store and copped another free burger without them pressing redeem.

Don't know if this has been mentioned and I can't really prove it so I'm just making this a forum post rather than a normal post.

Anyone else had a similar experience?

On a similar topic, the store in question also have a feedback survey with rewards attached. They no longer ask for a code from the receipt and you can search for the location of the store while doing the survey without having to have the store number. This means that if you know you are going to go to the store 1-2 days in advance, you can do the survey and by the time you visit the store you should have a voucher on your phone email. The staff look at the voucher but there is no redemption code/button. The voucher is valid for a week. The expiry date used to be tiny but the font has recently increased in size. The store location is on the email voucher.

    • Good tip, and much more legit than what I'd suggested.
