iPhone 7 Outright - Best Deal?

Hi Bargain Buddies,
Looking for the best deal / way to buy the iPhone 7 - how are you buying yours?

I use Aldi mobile so will buy outright.
Does anyone know which Aussie stores will get it first?

Thinking of using cashrewards to get 5% off Woolies Egift cards then buying from BigW (assuming they get them soon) or using to buy Gift Cards with next promo (hopefully david jones) - anyone got any better ideas?

Only want to buy from an Aussie store and Not Kogan(!) - last year had problems with my 1.5yr old iPhone and as Apple were about to replace it in store they said they couldn't as Kogan isn't Australian stock!

Would love to hear how you are planning on buying yours.

    pre-ordered online last friday for delivery on launch day through apple store app.
    depending on the colour/capacity combination you want, there might be a few weeks wait at this stage.
    went with the 128gb as i couldnt justify the extra $340 for the 256gb on top of an already premium priced smart phone.

      The difference isn't that much.

      iPhone 7 128GB $1229.00AUD
      iPhone 7 256GB $1379.00AUD

      Difference is $150

      iPhone 7+ 128GB $1419.00AUD
      iPhone 7+ 256GB $1569.00AUD

      Difference is also $150

    Are there any plans worth getting? I got my 6 plus a couple of years ago on a Telstra plan which was subsidised by the carrier, there was a proce war between the carriers and I essentially got the phone for half price ($20 phone payments, $70 plan I think).

        Good deal but only on the 3gb data plan, way too small. All the other plans are in line with the competition. I really need Telstra network anyway, beach house reception on every other carrier is crap. If only Aldi sold phones too.

    One of my known said… he can get %15 off on new iPhone 7 or 7 Plus. i would say it is no brainier and asked him to put my order for 128GB 7 Plus.. he hasn't come back yet to me so not sure if he was laying to trying to get the deal. Will ask him again in a day or two.

    When they released the 6, Kogan put them up on Ebay for a little more than retail and ebay had 10-15% off; I remember it was roughly $100 off. I was hoping for something similar to that this time around…

        Edit: Thanks for pointing that out. You are quite right.

        For me, the $100 difference was sufficient compensation. Apple has a 1 year world wide warranty anyway; it's only the "consumer law warranty" you miss out on.

      I really regret buying from Kogan my previous iPhone. They are free of GST (import) which means you are essentially paying the same price if you have a business and can claim the GST.

      Plus when my phone had issues Apple were about to replace it but as they were getting me a new one they saw it was from Kogan and said they couldn't touch it.

    and if you know somebody with Woolworth discount card another 5% off
