Why My Coles Offer Changed to Another One?

I received their email at 18 August, saying "$50 off or collect 10,000 points when spend $50 or more in one transaction each week for 4 weeks". So I activated the offer and spent more than $50.

Several days later, I received another offer saying "collect up to 5,000 points when you spend $50 each week for 3 weeks". Ok, I activated it and spent another $50.

Today when I suddenly realized that these two offers have overlap, I went to flybuy's website and surprisingly found that the first offer disappeared, it's not in neither activated offers, nor expired offers. I was supposed to be able to get $50, now only $25.

Should I call them to ask why? Or is there anything I did wrong?

Contacting Flybuys directly is the only way of sorting things out. Keep track of the emails for proof. Check that the very first transaction was posted to your flybuys account as proof of the qualifying purchase for week 1 of the 4 week promotion.

I hope you got the dates correct for the promotion. The current 4 week promotion had 10 days in the first week which confused a lot of people.

Usually you only get the 3 week offer after flybuys recognise that you either didn't activate the 4 week offer or you didn't make the required spend in week 1 of the 4 week offer.

These multi week offers occasionally drop out of the list of offers but flybuys are attempting to fix this issue.

If you have multiple flybuys accounts in the household, make sure the right card was swiped for the right transactions.

It is currently week 4 of the 4 week promotion. It is currently week 2 of the 3 week promotion.

I hope that info helps. Good luck and let us know what you were able to figure out with flybuys.

They sure don't make it easy to save a few $$.
You have to be on the ball and keep track of everything.
Especially if you have multiple accounts in the family.

    • Thanks for the reply.

Just called Flybuys, they said I haven't activated the offer.

I can prove that I received the offer email, and spent the money, but I can't prove I have already activated the offer, they said the offer is not in expired offers because it's been a while so will automatically disappear. Pretty frustrated.

      • When I get those offers emails I normally activate them 2-3 times. Just to be sure…

Check your receipt(s) mine says congrats on doing week 1 (i'm on 3 week thing)
Log into your flybuys account and check account transactions (mine shows).

My three week thing is showing in expired offers (don't think it was showing anywhere yesterday).

      • Do you have any receipts congratulating you? That is the only proof I have of activating it.

Good point. When I spent for the 1st week there was no congratulation in my receipt. This was happening before, so I just ignored it. I guess maybe there was some problem with my browser when activating the offer, better double check and take a screenshot next time…

is it under your expired offers?

I've been doing my "$50 off or collect 10,000 points when spend $50 or more in one transaction each week for 4 weeks" offer, and yet it is filed under expired. It better bloody still be active since I've only got 1 week to go

Same here. But it is not listed under Activated Offers or Expired Offers. I hope this week's receipt features the appropriate confirmation.

The account above seems to be the opposite of what happened to a lot of flybuys members during the current 4 week promotion.

Some of the members who didn't get the 4 week offer received an email with weekly specials which indicated they were part of the 4 week promotion. Flybuys had made a mistake and sent emails off saying something to the effect of "Earn $50 of shopping or points for $ spend for 4 weeks. There was no figure next to the dollar sign. The emails had an activate button but clicking on the button only led to an error message on the flybuys website. Flybuys sent an apology email the following day to these members explaining that they had made a mistake and the offer was invalid.
