    Just in time for sum…oh.

    • Yes, the one I have in the car gets warm enough in winter, I'm not sure if it'll survive the warmer months…that said, it actually doesn't get too hot just playing music; but plug it into the PC to fill it up & you've gotta get the asbestos gloves & tongs out! ;)

    Yup… like hotcakes.
I use it in the car as a USB music, and I think it died…..have only used it for 1month.
Pulled it out and got burnt!

I've had a 64GB Sandisk one in my car for almost two years with no dramas at all.

      • +1

+1, I've 64GB one playing music in my car for 1+ year too, it runs fine and looks great, much better than the long one I had. Transferring the files from computers to this usb get pretty warm though.

I dont think the Samsung has that problem - anyone find a good price on those?

  • These run warmer than the Samsung or Lexar, but it's also faster, most notably in USB 2.0 ports where for some reason the others slow down to ~13MB/s write. At least for the ones I have.

  • I have purchased a few so for those wanting to know the negatives/positive I have provided them below.

Positives: Compact / USB 3 / decent brand / capacity
Negatives: USB cover is difficult to pull off / heats up when in heavy use / easy to lose or throw in the wash/trash

    • Why don't they make things frost instead.

  • Too Hot for me. I will pass

  • This USB is nice in a cold winter [Extra Hot] :)

  • Got one plugged into my laptop as a fulltime Filehistory drive. No heating issues that I have come across.

I use this USB for heater in small bedroom

    • That's dangerous, it might over heat and burn you and your house down.

  • got one right now. very hot to the chases of the laptop. should not buy

  • Has anyone lost any data or damaged their drive from the heat?

I can't see why Sandisk hasn't fixed this at all if it was such a problem.
