How to Spend Flybuys Dollars into Sony PS Store

Hi everyone,

I have turned my Flybuys points into Flybuys dollars in the hope that I could purchase some PS Store gift cards at Coles… and failed.

Would anyone know a way to purchase one year of PS Plus and put some money into my PS account with those flybuys dollars?

Thank you for help!

  • Failed how?

Buy a coles gift card, then go back through again (or to another store), and use them to buy the PS Store gift cards?

    • So I converted my points into flybuys dollars. I then went to Coles, got two $50 gift PS Store gift cards, went to the checkout, tried to pay with my Flybuys card and it got denied because apparently Flybuys dollars cannot pay for gift cards at Coles.

      • Hmm, I purchased bunnings gift cards a few days ago with flybuys dollars. Perhaps try self-checkout during a busier period, maybe even include other groceries in your purchase.

I'd say it's probably a staff imposed rule. I'm not sure on what Coles policy actually is, but staff very often get it wrong.

Thanks for taking the time to reply.

Ok, I will add some food to my purchase and try at the self-checkout.

When I tried I went to the normal checkout and only had the gift cards, the employee didn't do anything, it's the computer that denied it.

I had the same problem recently , did our usual shop & wanted to swap the remaining balance of my coles gift card onto a coles myer gift card like i have always done in the past never had a problem but the computer denied it came up with a prohibited item .Coles staff said they have updated all their terminals & you can no longer purchase a giftcard with a giftcard which is a real bugger.

        • @Triple J: Oh man that sucks! I really wish I could use the points for the ps plus subscription. It is such a trivial purchase that I would feel much better putting points towards it.

I would use cash to buy ps Plus and leave flybuys dollars for groceries.

    • Was gonna say the same thing :)

      • So I guess that issue has sorted itself out….

    • I buy groceries with my partner on our joint account. I don't fell like paying with Flybuys and asking her to give me cash… The points that I redeemed were collected on my own.

      • Use it on fuel and again, put the cash towards the ps plus

How do you joint buy groceries, but you accrued the flybuys alone?

This is beyond the scope of my question.

I was hoping for an answer such as 'you can go to this place and get it with Flybuys' or 'go to this online shop and you can redeem the Flybuys dollars towards it'…

I meant the question I asked. I appreciate the alternatives you guys are taking the time to give but what I would like to do is redeem those Flybuys dollars towards a PS Plus membership.

To satisfy your curiosity I will answer your question even though I find it quite intruding.
I accrued the Flybuys points by myself, when we were not together. We started to shop and pay together, so I took my points out of the account with no specific use for it and I now wish to redeem the dollars for myself.

Thank you to everyone taking the time to post. I really appreciate it.

        • @PetPenguin:

So… You can't be open enough with your new partner to spend some spare cash on something you want…?

          Good start!

Oh wait, that's not answering your question

          Oh well

        • @Spackbace: I am a student, I am always super broke, she had to lend me money multiple times so I could look after my health. I don't know why this thread is turning like that. I have turned to oz bargain many times and always got great help from everyone, but here I am collecting negative votes and getting you chasing after me and judging me on my actions and relationship.

Thread is closed, I will spend my flybuys into food, where it should go in the first place.

@PetPenguin: Good idea, maybe you should leave the PS Plus until you can afford it dude.

  • I found today that Target accepts flybuys dollars for Playstation Wallet Top Ups. I don't know if it works for PS Plus cards, but I was able to purchase a $50 voucher using my Flybuys Dollars.
