Just received a call this morning, while I was on the way to work, from a trusted source that was right in the past about (3 out 5 times).

They are claiming that their friend's hairdresser sister was walking her dog with her best friend last night and her best friend told them that there will be 15% Site wide. Possibly starting today. I have no further details so don't ask.

It seems somewhat hard to believe due to the number of coupons that were floated this month but I thought I'd share it anyway. I possibly risk the largest number of negs if it's not coming to fruition but I'll take the punt to give my friends at ozbargain a heads up.

          @kheob: Ok, ebay support team says - I have checked and found that it is a known issue and our team is working on it. pleaSe do not worry , it will be resolve soon. So when i asked should i place another order, he said no. I called up Paypal, he can see an attempt to charge but fail, ask me to place order again. I am torn between now, ebay better honour this.

      ebay says this is paypal issue. Yeah keep trying. Someone replied to login to paypal account first, didnt work for me but worth to try. I finally select the postage instead click collect and upon check out only change it, got thru. But haven't received confirmation whether the purchase is successful.

      yea getting same messages - on another note last night bought an ipad and paypal charged me twice called them and now they said 3-4 buiness days till the amount is taken off hold from my credit card sigh

        At least you got the item. I was charged and didn't get the order completed. Now I have used my discount code and am out of pocket 1K until the refund clears (up to 10days according to PayPal).

    Ebay and Paypal are running very slowly.
    Had quite a few problems with Chrome (not accepting code), switched to MS Edge and had a couple of other problems.
    Just had to keep trying and eventually the code was accepted and went through.
    Got 4 paypal receipt emails, no note to sellers displayed, and nothing yet from Ebay…

    I had 4 items when I checked out and only two went through. Had to use someone else's paypal account to use CODE15 again.

    same here, i thought it was just me but they seem to be overloaded.
    made my final transaction 30 minutes ago but nothing in paypal.
    SOME items are in purchase history but dont' show as paid yet and others seem missing…
    no card transaction either, they must have some technical issues

    reason enough to extend for another 24hrs and add another 5% bonus discount…

    On a PC I kept getting "Something went wrong. Please try to check out again". Eventually got to checkout screen but then I got "This code can't be applied to some of your items"…
    Switch to mobile it checkout smoothly with code and cashreward.

          @sintro: Android phone browser (Chrome) not the eBay app. CR brings up ebay mobile site and checkout so I assume it should be ok

          @sintro: i know my reply is too late now, but yes you can. just be careful if you already have the ebay app installed as it will bounce you through to the app. you need go back to the cashrewards redirect page, hold down the button until you get a menu option to open another web browser tab and carry on from there.

    If you're having trouble, it could be due to having different delivery sources of items in the cart i.e. some are post, some are click and collect.
    I changed it back to post then the site allowed me to go onto the next page, where i was able to enter the code and also change it back to click and collect.

    Couldn't get through to checkout on my PC browser - tried the mobile site.

    2 of the 6 harddrives I was ordering went through, but the other 4 didn't. All were on the same checkout page and done at the same time. All Australian dollars and sellers, all the same delivery method.

    The paypal confirmation email is pretty clear but the ebay confirmation email is all messed up. And code can't be reused so I can't try again either. :(

    Normally wouldn't wait until the last minute to purchase stuff but because the code is for 1 transaction (rather than the usual 3), I wanted to make sure I have not missed anything by using the code early.

    was on ebay.com and made a purchase for a couple of items, applied code and only 1 item was discounted. It doesnt mention it anywhere, just worked it out when I realised the discount was too low for 15% off. I would urge people to double check they got the full 15% off for all items. Turns out it was only applying discount on one item in the cart. Contacted ebay and got a $20 coupon for a future purchase (2 weeks expiry) - not the same thing but it'll do

        Top left of the page there is a bar, click on 'Help&contact' chose buying from the list on the right then paying for item->trouble paying for item and at the bottom request a call back

    Just before midnight I processed order for $311.55.

    It said "Success" but also some message about "being processed"

    Items are gone from Shopping Cart, and have been billed by Paypal. Nothing in Purchase History.

    I click Order Details on the Success page and it shows:

    Subtotal AU $311.55
    Postage Free
    Total voucher amount -AU $46.71
    Total AU $218.13
    PAY NOW

    LOL - that ain't right $311.55 less $46.71 is $264.84 (what I was billed)

    And I am not paying again.

    So yeah, it's broken.

      I had 2x high pried items ordered ~$1k at 11pm last night… Paypal receipt received immediately, I can see the amounts on my credit card too.

      At 2am Ebay informed payment could not be processed (but Paypal showed payment has been processed? never happened before on Ebay for me), items bounced back into cart.

      Sent them a query to see what they can do… not expecting anything

          So my paypal receipts from 21 Sep showed up in 2 emails for different amounts each time (not the 1.7k as it should be -but 1.62k and 1.68k)

          I gave them a call after lunch just then ;

          They can do the '1 time courtesy' like previously where they'll manually credit you back the amount after you do a checkout provided they can see it in the purchase history and I can provide them the paypal transaction ids / etc- however the items are not appearing in my ebay purchase history I did receive the paypal receipt for the correct amount this time.

          edit: items appeared just fine and just rang them back up to set up the credit back to paypal amount which they say may take up to 21 working days- from experience it was shorter (i think check the sitewide code post from last christmas/new year)

    Unfortunate pattern in those reporting reversed/refunded transaction which saw no honest explanation for that failure. Does it happen when this promos budget has run out rather than eBay's midnight? In effect, not much different from that of last stopped-early mega sale but perhaps this time capturing bit more of data..

    With even backup lined funding sources ready, got no different an outcome; zero bought.

      The cancelled transactions arent related to the promo, that just business as usual for paypal. They are known to screw people over with no explanations provided.

      To be honest, it really doesnt make sense that no other platforms seriously compete with outdated and overpriced systems like Ebay and Paypal provide.
