Apple iPhone 7 on installment ?

Guys,

Is there a best way to buy iPhone without contract in installment? I know there is a way at Harvey Norman but is there any other companies offer to buy product in installment without much interest rate?

i thought although the "interest" is free theres a fee associated with depositing money into the card they give you?

      • Here is all the info:
        http://www.apple.com/au/shop/browse/finance/instant_credit

They do their loans through GE Creditline.. There will probably be a monthly fee (around $5) as well

        • $4.95/month, 0% interest for 6 months.
That means that you pay $30 to purchase the phone on installments if you pay it off within 6 months. On a $1,200 phone that is effectively a 2.5% interest charge. If you take longer than 6 months, the interest rate is 23% of the remaining amount. (iPhones are only eligible for 6 month interest free).

If you are willing to pay $205/month for a phone + call credit then this is a cost effective option.

        • @ilikeradiohead: iPhone purchases are EXCLUDED from this promotional 0% interest for 12 months offer.
iPhone available on non-promotional financing (0% interest for 6 months) only. See Terms and Conditions below.
Approved customers only. Terms and conditions apply.

          It's not a good option!

        • @Sowny: Sorry what is the problem? You can get it interest free for 6 months.

        • @ilikeradiohead: As part this promotion, I need to apply for an credit card which is outside Apple's process flow.

        • @Sowny: Ah OK no worries.

Optus offer 'afterpay' as a short term installment option but since the iPhone 7 is in limited stock they're not offering it outright just yet. Probably have to wait a month or 2 which probably isn't a bad idea anyway. Gives them time to fix up any iOS 10 bugs.
Afterpay = 4 interest free payments per fortnight so as an example, the iPhone 6S+ is $1368, you'd pay $342 per fortnight over 2 months.

    • Seconded.
Just wait 1-2 months until there's plenty of stock.
Most of the bugs in iOS 10, as said, will be ironed out.
You'll also see an influx of choices in accessories too (especially for that aux jack).

By that time, you would've had the opportunity to save up the necessary funds.
(if you "need" it now, you will have to pay a premium/go city camping)

      • Err.. I see. I better wait until November.

    • This option seems to be a real good one! Lemme try! Thanks mate!
