Budget Dip and Pull up Belt

Hey, I was looking for a cheap dip belt and I found this video on Youtube that proves there's nothing that can't be solved with a pool noodle… https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gW3F3WoJUxk

But there are budget options available on eBay for under $20 (e.g. http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/BODY-NATURAL-NEOPRENE-DIP-BELT-/2…) and I'm not too sure if paying for extra chain to run through the pool noodle itself would make the Youtube hack so cost-effective in the end.

Has anyone here hacked together their own comfortable dip belts? Or used an affordable pre-made one?

  • What the…?

Why can't you just be heavied down by your student loan fees like everyone else??
It's what keeps the Millennials fit.

    • Student loan fees are the stone of shame. I'm ready for the stone of triumph.

  • I would just pay more and buy a proper one, especially for something where your safety is one of the main priorities - you might end up hanging lots of weight from it.

    Something like this perhaps? http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Harbinger-Polypro-Dip-Belt-/27237…

    • Thanks for the tip. I'll try reading more reviews.

  • I purchased a cheap leather dip belt on eBay years ago, has Shihan embossed on it.

I immediately upgraded the carabiner with a much larger one from Bunnings and it has been faultless since.

    • Thanks. I've read good reviews and even a similar comment on a forum (may have been you ;)).
