Apple website lists it for $879 but no stock for pickup and delivery takes 3-5 weeks.
Any other idea on how to score this either cheaper or faster?

the cheapest I know would be to get it from a different store like JB-HIFI using gift cards that you can buy for 5% discount.

Buy jb hifi gift cards from woolies using wish GC which you can get for 5% discount. Also first check you can buy JB hifi GC with Wish GC. This was allowed earlier. not sure if it is still.

I've done it at a Big W after a mini argument that saw the cashier calling the manager, but it certainly seems they're discouraging it.
Legally, though, the T&Cs only stated you're not allowed to buy Woolworths issued gift cards. Myer or JB cards wouldn't be Woolworths issued, surely?

Yeah, could try this at peak commuter shopping at 5:30 pm on a Friday afternoon when the self-checkout line is 200 deep.

JB Hi-Fi has Apple sales (usually MacBooks) around every 6 weeks.
Apple themselves may have a Black Friday discount - although it's got worse and worse the past few years.
It dropped from a nice 10%ish discount up until around 2013, then to a ~$75 to $100 store gift card depending on what you bought, then to a Costanza (charity donation in your name), onto a big fat nothing last year.
Apple is not a bargain
