Servage is actually not too bad with their customised set up and clustered servers. My biggest issue is that THEY ARE IN GERMAN which is half way around the globe from us. Which translates to 340ms ping from NSW :(
I usually suggest US West Coast (LA, San Jose, Seattle, etc) if people can't afford Australia hosting as the ping is around 180ms from NSW, which is tolerable if you need to log into console to fix stuff…
