Best Place to Buy Gaming PC

Hey fellow OzBargain users,

I am looking to purchase a gaming computer in Sydney and am wondering which is the best value for money computer store.
My budget is $900 WITH windows 10 and the PC should have at least 6th gen i3, 8gb ram, 120gb ssd, B150 motherboard and GTX 950.

Thanks in advance!

    build it yourself?

See what you can put together there.

They do have a decent budget gamer @ $817, but would cost about $150 extra for Win 10 + extra RAM + SSD.

    Or, http://www.jw.com.au

I'd say that if you're having it built, you're going to need to spend a bit more.

As I always build my own (& my kids do theirs since they were about 10 years old), I concur with the other posts here that your "best value/price" will be with you gathering the parts for cheap & assembling it yourself.

    Good luck!

  • Well, you've got all your parts lined up. Just buy them from MWave and get them to assemble it.

  • You gonna find it hard to get something like that pre-built for that price.
But best bet would be to check eBay:

But if I were you I would look into building either:

    • The cheap master race:
      ~$800
      Win 7 Home
      Intel Core i7-4770
      8GB DDR3-2133
      128GB SSD (boot)
      1TB HDD (game storage)
      GTX 980
      450W Bronze PSU
      (1080p60 Ultra)
      (1440p30 High)
      (2160p30 Med)

    • The great master race:
      ~$1,200
      Win 10
      Intel Core i5-6600K
      16GB DDR4-2600
      512GB SSD
      GTX 1070
      650W Gold PSU
      (1080p60 Ultra)
      (1440p60 Ultra)
      (2160p30 High)

    • The elite master race
      ~$2,000
      Win 10 Pro
      Intel Core i7-6700K
      16GB (or more) DDR4-3200
      2TB SSD
      GTX 1080
      700W Platinum PSU
      (1080p60 Ultra)
      (1440p60 Ultra)
      (2160p60 High)

You'll need more than a 128gb ssd if you plan on playing more than one or two games without u installing them. Most gaming machines will have 2 drives.

And if budget us your main concern, buy the parts and assemble it yourself. You'll save a few hundred bucks and it'll honestly take you an afternoon to put together.

Pick the components you want then search StaticIce for the best prices.

    One other thought—-

Every company tries to pawn-off responsibility of device failure to the other.

IF you decide to build- best to buy ALL parts from the same place. One warranty that way.
