Money Spending App

Hey all!

Trying to plug a leak to stop money leaking out… So my wife and I are finally getting a budget organised……

Does anyone have a good value IPhone app they recommend, where you can log your cash purchases by category easily and quickly?

Also needs to be able to sync between to iPhones

  • Moneywiz.

Paid $5 for it, worth it.

It's a pita the first time you do any type of transaction because you enter stuff etc but I don't see how to avoid that.

    • is it safe to add bank accounts to third party app ?

    • I've got pocket book, but it doesn't interface with Amex unfortunately. You need to manually load it. So I don't use the app. Something to keep in mind.

      Any alternatives that link Amex?

@ozyboy there are forum discussions around it on the Internet. From what I remember there are generally some concerns when looking at account holders responsibility. At the end it's your decision to make. Personally, I'd say the bigger apps are pretty safe.

  • Try Debit & Credit, I developed it two years ago because I did not like the alternatives :) I have recently added shared accounts, so you will able not just to sync with your iOS/Mac devices via iCloud, but also share selected accounts with other people (e.g. family members).

  • Andromoney - It's free and syncs between iOS, Android and also via their webpage.

I use to use Pocket Expense and couldn't use my data when I moved from an iPhone to a Samsung.

      is it free ?
Edit - Sorry. It's free as you said but iTunes is asking for $1.99

      • Android has a free and paid version. Should be the same on iTunes but I could be wrong.
