  • Is it worth spending more on these top class luggage? After a trip with few change overs these luggage will be like 10 year old.The luggage will be thrown around by the airline staff.unless it is broken you can’t make a claim.

    • You can get a 'case' for it if you want it looking pristine. I think the major advantage is that it is a relatively solid bag that is really light.

    • It depends if you travel once every 5 years then it's not worth it. I am a regular traveler so it is definitely worth it.

good one, but 81cm is too big for international flight as the restriction for baggage dimension should be less than158cm. The 81cm one is 170cm in total.

    • I travel every year internationally, I have never seen such issue as long as you are not over 20, 23 or 30kg depending on airlines.

    • I have the SAMSONITE FIRELITE 81CM . 81x55x32cm: 142cm

  • I bought a large Samsonite cloth suitcase 16 years ago besides a bit of cosmetic damage still going strong. I remember a mate on a trip with me bought cheapest suitcase he could and fell apart half way on the trip lol

  • The price has changed to $380.00 for me or $361 with the coupon.

    —EDIT—

The price is for Dark blue only

    • At the time of posting, all 3 colours was at $350.bugger..

An rrp of $899?! Are you serious. It's a bit of plastic with wheels on.

  • Everywhere seem to have them for $540…lucky I held off…
    Bought 2, thanks OP

I was about to bite the bullet till I read this review http://www.productreview.com.au/p/samsonite-cosmolite.html

    • i had the smallest one…so far nothing wrong with them at all

  • Noted: technically the 81cm case would be TOO BIG as check-in baggage for most of the airlines. The 75cm from Samsonite is the biggest for check-in.

    • Not correct, I travel every year and just go to the airport and see the size of the check-in luggage. You must abide to the weight but 81cm is never a problem.

  • Would an airline baggage checker person check for that 6cm difference?

  • Any baggage that weighs more than 32kg / 70lbs or measures more than 203cm / 80in in total dimension must be repacked into split-up units within these limits. Your bag’s total dimension is the sum of its width, height and length.
    <<<this is from Cathay Pacific

  • Absolute hate zipper luggages yet so many purchase them for its lightness. They aren't secure at all
