Depending on dates, an option is to sign up to one of those AMEX credit cards and use the free domestic flight (Virgin).
ANZ Rewards Travel Adventures is $225 per year.
AMEX Platinum Edge is $195

  The going rate on TigerAir right now is $199 each way and it's unlikely to go on sale because it's during school holidays, so probably best to use one of those credit cards as mentioned above.
  
  Another option is to buy someone else's flights from the Ozbargain Classifieds.
