charger is 110V as per amazon reviews.

Better hope it arrives charged then.

    • Keep your fingers crossed, it's quite unlikely it comes with an old school wire wound transformer.

Look at the other philips sonicare products, a few people reported toothbrush stopped working after they took it on a trip to Europe (plugging it in a 220v outlet)

This one could be a better choice.

'Use only 1.5 V AA Alkaline batteries. Always replace with two new batteries; never mix old and new batteries.'

So you can use rechargeable batteries.

    • yes and replacement head also cheaper.

  • only if the diamond version is on special too….

  • I'm on my way t work so can't read the whole page but down the bottom says '1 Lithium ion batteries required'
Does it just take an 18650 lithium?
    would make life easy…

    • +1

I don't know about this model but normally the batteries are not replaceable.

I bought a HealthyWhite+ which came in two, and in less than 3 years both of them don't hold a charge for very long. About 1 day and then the battery indicator starts blinking. Used to get a whole week with it.

It might be planned obsolesence similar to what Apple and some other phone manufacturers do.

  • I have a Oral B Electronic Tooth brush that is in need of replacing due to the Batteries which can not be replaced. I paid $165 for it and you would think you could replace the batteries but you can't :(

How does the Phillips stack up?

    • I replaced my Oral B battery few weeks ago, works like new now. Wasn't easy, required dismantling, soldering and re-soldering….

      • +1

        Yer I can't solder for s***!

    • It's the same deal.

These people are smart. They know they'll make more money selling you another one every few years than you just buying new batteries.
