    2000 Lumens. Seems legit…

    • No, 200 Lumens.

    • is this flash light any good? seems cheap

    • Details say:
      Maximum Brightness (lumens): 3000LM
Brightness (lumens): 1501 lumens or more

      So many big numbers
      Must be true

      • I think you guys are being a bit cynical. After all it's an AUD$11.43 flashlight before the coupon code is applied!

We all know they are measured in Chinese lumens, which is less than 1/10th of the actual lumens.

    • They are of course Chinese Lumens which are significantly dimmer than everyone else’s Lumens.
Here is what seems to be exactly the same torch with 3000 Chinese Lumens ;) … And it’s much cheaper!!! :D

Proof of advertised claims or GTFO!
Seriously over scam artists or naive fools trying to peddle crap.

  • i do have those, the front element is magnifying glass. so the real Lumens is much lower. when at max magnifying or max concentration, it is about that bright. But its hardly useful since your area of lighting is very small. like beam point.

when at max magnifying or max concentration, it is about that bright.

      Errrr - NOPE.

Always frustrating when "flashies" try to be experts and get the lighting terms all confused and muddled up.

The chinese wholesalers don't understand English nor the terms, so that makes it even funnier.

The zoom doesn't change the Lumens (total output).

Zooming to a narrower beam increases the Candela (intensity).

These torches are certainly capable of 2000 Lumens, providing you buy about 10 of them.

The "Q5" actually refers to a binning code (not a kind of chip) and there are numerous Cree chips of that Binning. They range between 200 and 400 Lumens at the bare chip. Chinese Cree is almost certainly a clone, so specs on Cree chips is irrelevant anyway.

thanks for technical terms, thanks for teaching me , thanks senpai.

  • The thing with these lights is, if the seller/manufacturer advertised it as a 150 lumen light (which it probably is close to) for $5 then I might give it a +. As it stands though, it is a big - from me.
